I was down in South Carolina very recently to photograph long distance runner Zola Budd. I’m a huge fan of Zola’s and especially her resilience. She has certainly been through the mill during her career. Zola has been used as a political pawn and suffered unjustified criticism during her olympic running days. It was great to photograph someone I admire and respect and hopefully people will understand after reading her story what she and her family have been through over the ensuing years……

Central Park Zoo’s beloved Sea Lion Scooter, sadly passed away aged twenty six years. She was a favorite with the keepers and regular visitors to the zoo. Scooter made her acting debut in the movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’

An American mother with a passion for tanning has pleaded not guilty in court to a charge of child endangerment for allegedly allowing her five-year-old daughter into a tanning booth. Authorities say Patricia Krentcil’s daughter, now six, turned up at her elementary school in Nutley, New Jersey, with sunburn, prompting a school nurse to contact police. But Ms Krentcil insists that, although her daughter was in the room, she was not in the tanning booth itself.
